Fish like KVD with these tips and utilize the tube for some big bass catches. Here’s how he does it and a few techniques not to overlook! @MossyOak @bassproshops @LewsFishing @MustadFishing @StrikeKingLure
A lot of anglers don’t fish tubes as much anymore. There was a time when they were extremely popular, especially for Smallmouth bass, but over the years, their usage has declined. However, tube baits remain one of my go-to options.
Lakes like this—filled with wood and grass—are prime habitats for crawfish, and nothing imitates a crawfish better than a tube. You can drag it or shake it along the bottom for a subtle presentation, but I personally like to snap them.
This allows me to fish fast and cover more water, something you just can’t do with a drop shot or Ned rig.
The versatility of the tube bait is what makes it so deadly. I can work it aggressively when needed, then slow it down when the situation calls for it. No matter where I go across the country, I’m still catching fish on tube baits.
